Before hitting the hay last night, I felt like writing.. I wrapped up my convo with Jake and asked him what i should write about. Hakam is a friend of mine I met in Egypt and epic little sage. He asked.. What does it mean to be ‘the one’ or become ‘the one’?
Not to be mistaken for the romantic sense of the word ‘the one’. Hakam always quotes Rumi (above) in the context of certain people and their influence and so I am familiar with it.. It was a SUPER fun task. I learned a lot while writing 🙂 it’s deep, and once again, unedited. Haha I don’t have time for perfection.

Just as I wrote the quote at the top of the page I read it differently. ‘The one.’ When Rumi says ‘become the one’, does he mean the same ‘one’ who luck shifts to when he needs it?
When Hakam asked me to explain what it means to me to be ‘the one’ or ‘become the one’ the first thing that came up for me was a little movie of someone with a light around them, being the allower & the empowerer… The one who went first and shed the skin so that others can have a shortcut to the truth. I think the Rumi quote is one of the most profound and subtle descriptions of how the world is awakening.. One by one.. Literally ‘the one’ by ‘the one’. As one becomes the one, he allows others to become the one.. Imagine what happens as the world wakes up? The one + the one + the one + the one + the one = infinite oneness. I think those two words together get me more excited than nutella and peanut butter crepes.
When I think of ‘the one’… I think of the masters and avatars of this world. The connected ones who are beyond knowledge of their connection and power. They are on their way to or have already transcended ego and are servants on earth.. Being the beautiful examples of how good it’s meant to be.
Ok.. just noticed another synchronicity. For a while now I’ve been trying to comprehend how blessed I am to get to learn the things i’m learning, experience everything I’m experiencing, feel the things i’m feeling… like.. its overwhelming how beautiful and blissful my life is. I couldn’t explain it to anyone and I’ll never ever be able to. And so naturally, the ego comes in doing it’s job as the grounder and protector and has me questioning why i’m worthy of this bliss.. this ease.. this expansion. and getting to view the world from the seat of my soul… And then, the other day when I least expected it… early one morning… I got out of my car and a message literally hit me as if someone stopped in front of me with a sign saying “What if you’re the one who is meant to show the world how good its meant to be?” And I literally stopped dead in my tracks, had goosebumps race up and down my body like a Mexican wave, and thought… well, someone has to. I texted my mentor right after and said “It really does get better and better doesn’t it?” And she just replied.. Yes 🙂 (Thats how she does smileys). (Please note it can get better and better for those who do the work- that’s not a general statement).
I’ve replayed these words over and over in my head hundreds of times since then… Particularly as challenges have arose, with moving into a new phase (the caterpillar shedding it’s skin… or as my beautiful mentor/sage describes it.. Dying while alive).
Actually.. let’s go here for a minute. Dying while alive. Shedding a new skin. So you know when you’re in flow.. Actually beyond flow.. You’re in infinite expansion. Let’s call it that.. It looks like this. being in that feeling and energy of absolute courageousness, acceptance, peace and bliss? Downstream flow? Little effort, and huge return? Powerful and swift manifesting? Everything you touch turns to gold? People show up? Synchronicity is CRAZY good. You see 11:11 and 1:11 everywhere ALL the time… You fall more in love with people, yourself, your life in every second? It’s like this new passage of love which is only for those with eyes and hearts open wide enough to receive it. You’re regularly stopping with noises like ‘oooooof’ coming out of your mouth cause you just don’t have words for how good it is. (ineffable = there are no adequate words.. my new fav word). You have people in your life who totally get what you feel and they feel it too. You become closer and closer to those who are aligned with you like a magnet. Everything is easy. Everything is fun. Everything is clear. Everything is calm. Everything is blissful. Everything is exciting. It’s like some old, unrewarding patterns and programs inside you are dying, and you are giving birth to new, rewarding understandings, programs, and levels of consciousness. And juuuuusssttttt as you’re about to shed your skin and move into a new phase, the universe throws a last minute test at you just to make sure you’re ready for the beauty, bounty and bliss that’s about to come. Often, this ‘test’ I feel isn’t really a test. Its more of a display of just how far you’ve come and just how special a place it is that you’re going.. Often, this ‘test or display involves you having to harshly realize how limited some people in your old life are. The universe doesn’t do this by mistake. She does it so that you can see the polarities, the dualities.. Between the old and the new. The limited and the limitless. And he uses real life examples. Its like he wants to display it on a big screen for you so that as you move into this bliss, you are seeing everything you’re leaving behind so you can blow a kiss to it and be acutely aware of the dualities.. Limited vs limitless. Love vs ego. Approval vs disapproval. Clarity vs confusion. Light vs Dark. Acceptance vs judgement. The universe wants you to know EXACTLY what you are moving into, exactly what you’re leaving behind… That’s the purpose of these tests.. or these ‘displays’… I imagine these tests as a group of people at the airport. You look behind at the departure gate. Wave goodbye, get on the plane, and blast off. THEN… and only then when you deeply understand these dualities, can you blast off and SHED.THE.SKIN… Die while alive. And so it continues. You become the one. And if you already were the one, you are walking into a room so that luck can shift to the one who needs it… IE. The one who is becoming the one.
This test for ‘the one’ gives the light, the power for the one to give permission for others to come with them.. to infinite expansion, love and light. There is ‘the one’ and there is the one who is ‘becoming the one’. The life of ‘The one’… is the link between the two. it’s a life of service and a life committed to the awakening of the planet. The one who goes first, is gifted. The universe has absolutely gifted the one insight, messages, special gifts so that they are equipped for all of the epicness of the life of the one.. whether it be rewarding or challenging.. (although the one sees everything as rewarding- the one doesn’t choose anything for their life that isn’t rewarding). People often talk about the one as if they’re guided… channeling.. An old soul … And that they are. They are selfless and selfish both at the same time and they understand the importance of them both. The one is selfless in that they know they are a servant of the betterment of the planet. They are selfish in that they serve this and know their life as the example is THE most powerful way to serve this. Low levels of consciousness cant understand or fathom this and so they’re often misunderstood. They are humble. They avoid recognition and don’t crave credit. They want change. And most importantly they want awakening. They are one with their purpose and their message with is DEFINITELY divinely guided. This is why the one has trouble accepting recognition.. Because the one is doing their job …. Living the message and living through guidance. They don’t see themselves as special yet they know they’re special all the same. “Wisdom is knowing I am nothing. Love is knowing I am everything. And between the two my life moves.”
So ‘the one’ is the light. That lights the lights. However the one isn’t interested in being the only one. The one Is a powerful orchestrator in the ‘awakening’ and the ‘turning on’ of the lights.. so that there can be ‘one’ after ‘one’ after ‘one’ around the world waking up, connecting to source and saving our planet.
The one can be mistaken for genius. The one can be mistaken for A.D.D. The one can be misinterpreted, misunderstood. But the one’s message isn’t a message of words. It’s a message of life. The one lives a life of witnessing and non-action where possible. But in this day and age, action in the form of leadership is required.
The one gives permission. The life of the one gives permission. The one inspires without even knowing it. The one doesn’t even understand how they inspire. Their life is an example of how good it’s meant to be. “What if you’re the one who’s supposed to show the world how good it’s meant to be?”
The one is always approval. The one IS approval. People get instant approval from the one. The one acts as approval for everyone. The life of the one has no separation between good/bad, right/wrong, positive/negative. The one breaks all the rules. Rules/guidelines, even instructions don’t exist in the mind of the one. The one is an open book.. a limitless being and their understanding of limitlessness effortlessly allows others to understand limitlessness.
The one is acceptance. The one offers acceptance to all. Again- there is no good/bad, right/wrong, positive/negative. Without even trying,, and even with the interrupting ego of the one.. They still accept all in oneness.
The one is courageous. Rarely fearful. They KNOW it’s their job to go first. They know they’re safe in their courageousness because it’s divinely inspired and every act of courageousness is pushing the planet closer to oneness.(how cool would it be to take a peek back at Atlantis by the way? 12 strands of DNA are you fo’real!!!!)
The one chooses boldly.. With powers that shift the planet, despite all of the low vibration choices that are going on daily. The power of ‘the choice’ of the one is beyond the power of ‘choice’ of those who don’t understand the power of choice. The ones choices in every thought and feeling, is always with the energy and guidance of betterment of the planet. Seems so cliché’ huh? But it’s true.
The one lives in service. Their being is service. Their example is the greatest service. They KNOW that living an extraordinary life is the greatest service.. They KNOW that they’re the one who’s supposed to show the world how good it’s meant to be… Actually scrap that word ‘good’. They’re the one who’s supposed to show the world how phenomenally, awe-inspiring, wonderfully blissful, extraordinary, love-filled, explosively outrageously adventurous and freaking deep and fun it’s meant to be. SO what does it mean to be the one? Being the example of all of the above. Being the light-filled, divinely guided permission and constant source of approval, the vessel of service for the good of ALL and the awakening of the planet..
So when the one walks into the room, luck shifts to the one who needs it. But the one doesn’t need it. The one walks into the room so that the luck can shift to the one who does need it. So there are two ‘the ones’ in this instance. The one who is already the one… And the one who is about to become the one. And so it continues as the world awakens.
