Lately, I’ve been obsessed with art. Not art on the wall kinda art (although that too), but the every day art that’s inside all of us, BEGGING to be born. I travelled to India earlier this year, and one thing that stuck out like a sore thumb, even amongst the dense energy and piles of rubbish on the grounds, was ART, COLOR, SOUL on display for all to see. With less stuff, there is more room for soul. India reminded me of that beautifully. In the western world, we get so caught up in the striving, in the completion, in the heavy ‘should’s of what our work and lives should look like.
It’s easy to forget to make art. It’s easy to forget to create. It’s easy to forget to play. It’s easy to forget to make stuff JUST for the purpose of making stuff. Not everything needs a price tag$. Not everything requires a sales funnel. Some stuff, just wants to be made. I’m excited to just sit, type and make some stuff in the form of words- Uninhibited. Uncensored. Unedited. Without any care in the world of ‘sounding good’, but with the sole purpose of letting the art out of my soul and into the world- daily.
It’s not about the art, it’s about the light that gets turned on when we make it.
That’s some planet healing stuff right there.
